Heroin worth Rs 3.5 crore seized in Kolkata

KOLKATA: Heroin worth Rs 3.5 crore was seized from a drug peddler in the city while he was transporting them hidden inside flour packets in the boot of a car on Sunday evening.
Officers of special task force, who had prior information about the delivery, stopped the car while it was passing by Maniktala area around 4pm. During investigation, high quality 2.5kg brown sugar hidden inside the atta packets, were recovered.The accused has been identified as Jasimuddin Mandal (41). He is from Naida's Palashpara.
