Ayodhya Municipal Corporation will also run a cleanliness drive from May 3 to spruce up the route, including the Ram Path.

“The roadshow will start at 4pm and BJP has started preparations to make it a historic event. A meeting of senior leaders of BJP was held on Thursday in Ayodhya regarding the preparations,” said BJP spokesman Divakar Singh.

The route has been divided into 40 blocks where cultural events will be organised.

“These blocks will be built at a distance of 50 metres and will be monitored by senior BJP leaders. The blocks will be formed based on the different sections of society including women, farmers and businessmen,” he added.

Arrangements for cultural programmes, light and sound systems will be made in every block and the entire route will be decorated with flowers. During the roadshow, people will greet the PM by showering petals.
