LUDHIANA: Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) organized 1st National Undergraduate Medical Conference here on Saturday. The conference was organised by the students of the college under the guidance of management and staff of DMCH. The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Ravi Bhagat, deputy commissioner and Guest of Honour- Dr. Renu Chatwal, Civil Surgeon, Ludhiana. Also present on the occasion were secretary of DMCH Managing Society Prem Kumar Gupta, Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina, Medical Superintendent Dr Sandeep Sharma, Assistant Dean Acadmics Dr Sandeep Kaushal.
The conference was an enlightening experience which began with the guest lectures by Dr. Ajay Shesh and Dr. Mala Srinivasan followed by the inauguration ceremony. The other highlights of the conference were the hands on experience in the workshops like 'Basic Laproscopic Skills,' 'Basic Life Support' and others. Other competitions like poster and paper presentation, painting, photography and essay writing were also held. The organisers said that this served as a platform to unite the young doctors from across the cities and provide them an unforgettable experience.
