3 arrested in separate NDPS cases
Mangaluru: Mangaluru South police have arrested three persons in two separate cases under the NDPS Act, and seized drugs and other materials from their possession.In a case registered under Sections 8(c) and 22(c) of the NDPS Act, police arrested Janan Jagannath,29, from Kulashekar and Parikshith,33, from Bolar. Police seized 11.7g of MDMA, Rs 1,110 in cash, three mobile phones and a two-wheeler.City police commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy CH stated that on Monday, while conducting patrolling in Bolar, officers received credible information that the accused were in illegal possession, and were attempting to sell MDMA. Acting on the tip-off, police raided the spot and arrested the accused. The accused were produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody.In another case, Mangaluru South police arrested Sushan Poojary,27, from Car Street. A case was registered under the NDPS Act on June 6, and in this connection Pranam Kotiyan was arrested. Poojary was produced before a court on Wednesday. The court has remanded him in police custody.
