MANGALORE: Mahadevapura, HAL airport in Bangalore South taluk of Bangalore Urban district recorded maximum rainfall of 44.5mm in Karnataka in last 24-hours up to 8.30am on Tuesday. Bantwal hobli in Bantwal taluk of DK district recorded maximum temperature of 36.4°C on November 25 at 2.15pm. Khanapur hobli in Khanapur taluk of Belgaum district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 16.5°C on November 26 at 5am.
More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 22% geographical area in the state. Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 20% geographical area in the state. Rainfall over Karnataka is considered as isolated since 5% of hoblis, gram panchayats recorded rainfall greater than or equal to 2.5mm. Rainfall was scattered in two districts; isolated in 18; and negligible in remaining 10 districts.
Rather heavy rain was recorded in two districts; moderate rain in 11 districts; light rain in seven districts; very light rain in six districts; and no rain in other four districts. South-West monsoon was normal in 11 districts and weak in 19 districts. Scattered, moderate to rather heavy rain was received in Dakshina Kannada and Kolar districts.
Isolated, light to rather heavy rain was received in Kodagu, Udupi, Bellary, Chikkaballapura, Shimoga, Bangalore Rural, Chamarajanagar, Gulbarga, Hassan, Yadgir, Chikmagalur, Davangere, Haveri, Chitradurga, Raichur, Uttara Kannada, Bangalore Urban and Tumkur districts. Dry weather condition prevailed in remaining parts of the state.
Karnataka for the period November 20 to November 26 recorded deficit rainfall of 15%. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 7.6mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 6.5mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on November 26, four geographical regions received 0.5mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 0.8mm, a 36% surplus departure from normal.
