Members of the Indian cricket team visited the Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple in Mumbai on Wednesday to seek blessings ahead of their T20 World Cup 2026 semifinal against England, scheduled at Wankhede Stadium.

Cricketers Axar Patel, Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma were among the players who took darshan at the temple before the high-stakes semifinal clash.

India has won six of their seven matches in the tournament so far, with their only defeat coming against South Africa in the Super 8 stage.

Despite the wins, the team is yet to deliver a perfect all-round display with batting, bowling and fielding performing strongly together.

Led by Suryakumar Yadav, India faced pressure after their defeat to South Africa in the Super 8 stage. The following match against West Indies became a must-win contest for India to keep their semifinal hopes alive.

A brilliant unbeaten 97 by Sanju Samson helped India secure a comfortable five-wicket win over West Indies and confirm their place in the semifinals.

With confidence from recent wins and the spiritual boost from Siddhivinayak Temple, Team India will look to carry momentum into the semifinal, aiming for a strong performance to secure a place in the T20 World Cup 2026 final.
