NC filed against senior Congress leader Sanjay Dutt for assaulting staff

KALYAN: Senior Congress leader Sanjay Dutt has been booked under Non-Cognisable offence for assaulting a gas delivery man for demanding advance payment in Dombivli. The victim, identified as Raj Yadav, is working at his Shakti Gas agency.
Dutt is an ex-MLC from Maharashtra Assembly. He is currently posted as All India Congress Committee Secretary and In-charge of Himachal Pradesh for Congress party.

Yadav, who is working at Dutt's gas agency for the last 20 years at Dombivli, in his complaint to local Vishnu Nagar police have alleged that Dutt on October 30 assaulted him inside the agency when he demanded advance money to pay off a loan.
Acting on the complaint of Yadav, police registered an NC against Dutt under sections 323,504 and 506 of the Indian Penal code.
Dutt was unavailable for comment. However, his close associates who did not wish to be named told TOI, " Yadav is deliberately trying to defame Dutt. Recently, the gas agency manager found Yadav duped the agency by collecting money from customers and did not deposit the same at the agency. When Dutt questioned him, he filed false complaints against Dutt to save himself."
Dutt's gas agency's manager Sunil Ghode have also given a written complaint against Yadav to local Vishnu Nagar police complaining that Yadav cheated the agency.
When asked about the issue, Dutt told TOI, "Yadav worked as a deliveryman at my gas agency since last few years. He delivered commercial gas cylinders to consumers and collected money. However, he did not deposit the amount at the agency. He has due of around Rs 11 lakh. When my manager complained about the same to police, Yadav filed a false complaint against me".
Dutt further added, “After I came to know about NC filed against me, I approached to police with all details about misappropriation of the fund by Yadav and complained against him to police”.
