Techie nabbed for threatening girl sent to jail custody

MUMBAI: An IT professional, Abhishek Sinha (30), was arrested from his Kalachowkie house last week for allegedly threatening to throw acid on his girlfriend (26), who had refused to marry him. Sinha, who was produced before a court for the second time on Monday, was sent to judicial custody. He will soon apply for bail, said a source.
Sinha had reportedly shot the victim’s objectionable video and threatened to upload it on social networking sites.The woman, a medical student, had approached the police and reported the incident.
The duo met last year through a common friend and got into a relationship. He insisted to marry the victim, but she did not want to.
