Times Music to market soundtrack of ‘Makdee’

MUMBAI: Close on the heels of its decision to market film soundtracks in a big way, Times Music has snapped up the soundtrack of “Makdee’’— the much-talked children’s movie from producer and music director Vishal Bharadwaj. Presented by Percept Picture Company, “Makdee’’ features Shabana Azmi, Makrand Deshpande and a double role by Shweta Prasad.It is written and directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, who bagged the Filmfare award for his music in “Maachis’’ and the National Award for “Godmother.’’ Gulzar has written the lyrics in “Makdee’’ and the cinematography is by Hemant Chaturvedi, who also shot for “Company’’. Even before its commercial release, “Makdee’’ has been nominated at several international film festivals.
