Delhi Public School hosts Sportopia 2024

Mysuru: Delhi Public School hosted ‘Sportopia 2024', a celebration of athletic spirit, teamwork, and school pride. The event brought together students, faculty, parents, and guests.Pallavi KM, an international paralympic badminton champion, and Kushi, an international yoga exponent, were the chief guests of the event. School director-principal Manju Sharma welcomed the gathering and guests. This year's theme underscored the essential role of sports in holistic development, emphasising values like discipline, resilience, and collaboration.The festivities opened with a ceremonial parade, an oath-taking ceremony, and a torch lighting ceremony by school sports captain Chris Adam, symbolising unity and the enduring spirit of sportsmanship across all school houses.Highlights included an array of thrilling track events and creative displays, where students demonstrated remarkable skill, coordination, and artistry, leaving the audience mesmerised. Special awards celebrated outstanding achievements, with honours such as Best Athlete, Individual Championess, Best Marching Contingent, and House Champion awarded to exemplary participants. The day concluded with a grand finale, showcasing vivid art forms of Karnataka and an awards ceremony.
