Myuru: JSS Technical Education Division director and Pro-Chancellor of JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), B Suresh, emphasised the importance of innovation-driven education.Speaking at Mundhe Banni Meetup Mysuru 2026, hosted by Mundhe Banni in collaboration with SJCE-STEP, he encouraged students to embrace entrepreneurship as a pathway to creating impactful solutions and future-ready enterprises. The event aimed to strengthen the city’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.The meet brought together founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, startup enthusiasts, students, innovators and ecosystem leaders.N Ravi Shankar, founder and CEO of AIM High Consulting, Bengaluru, delivered a session on building large enterprises from smaller towns.On the occasion, SJCE-STEP CEO Shivashankar highlighted the need for platforms that bridge the gap between ideas and opportunities. He noted that entrepreneurship thrives when founders have access to the right ecosystem, mentorship and collaborative networks.A panel discussion titled ‘Policy Meets Practice: Building Mysuru’s Startup Ecosystem from Both Ends’ featured Sudheer Shankar, Mysuru Cluster Head, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM); Shivashankar; and Vasant Shetty, CEO, Mundhe Banni.
Entrepreneurs Pruthvi MP (GenVision Technologies), Nishanth P (Carnad Engineering), and Lavanya N (Samparkisu) shared their experiences of building ventures, highlighting challenges, failures and key lessons.The event also included a practical session by Jyothirmayee JT, founder of HiveMinds.
