Dhole rallies to get past Salunke in 3-game thriller

Nagpur: On a day 192 badminton matches were played in various categories at the Dhanwate National College hall, experienced Jayendra Dhole rallied splendidly to get the better of Shreyash Salunke in an exciting men’s singles contest .After losing the first game 12-15 of their round of 32 match, Dhole brought parity by winning the second game 15-10. In a neck-and-neck decider game, Dhole used all his experience to defeat Salunke 15-13 and move ahead after a 31-minute battle.Similarly, in another men’s singles tie, Ramakant Chaudhari recorded a come-from-behind 7-15, 21-19, 15-11 win over Arnav Kalyankar.In the boys U-15 singles round of 32, Sairaj Nayse drubbed Vidanshu Bankar 15-1, 15-4 even as Jasnoor Singh had to sweat hard to defeat Atharva Awachat in three thrilling games 15-8, 9-15, 15-10.
