Nagpur: The streets of Mahal hummed with beats of drums synched by stomping of feet as hundreds of RSS swayamsevaks marched during the ‘path sanchalan' Saturday evening. The march past was held as part of the ongoing Karyakarta Vikas Varg II training camp at Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir in Reshimbagh. The synchronized footsteps and disciplined formations presented a striking display of organisational spirit and cultural identity. The march witnessed participation from nearly 880 swayamsevaks from different regions of the country. Aged between 21 and 40 years, the swayamsevaks — clad in the RSS uniform of white shirt, and brown trousers, representing diverse linguistic and regional backgrounds — took part in the annual camp and the route march.Beginning at 6.30 pm, two separate groups of swayamsevaks set out on different routes before converging at Mahal Chowk. Residents lined roads and intersections along the route, watching the procession as disciplined rows of volunteers marched in unison. "The RSS means discipline. The swayamsevaks marching in complete unison proved it again," said Dilip Taori, a swayamsevak. The two processions finally met at Mahal Chowk, where a ceremonial review of the march was conducted in the presence of senior RSS leaders, including sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale. The annual Karyakarta Vikas Varg II camp serves as akey training platform within the RSS structure and focuses on organisational development and leadership building. Participants undergo an intensive schedule beginning at 4am and extending till late evening. Sessions include Shakha management, organisational principles, discussions on contemporary national developments and workshops centred on social awareness and transformation. The camp also places strong emphasis on the promotion of Indian cultural values through various programmes and activities.Following the review ceremony, both the processions then merged into a single formation and marched together through Reshimbag area before returning to the camp premises.
