Netaji’s grandson visits Subhas temple on R-Day, pays tributes

Varanasi: Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s grandson Somnath Bose visited the newly inaugurated Subhash Temple in Lamahi on the occasion of Republic Day on Sunday. He also took part in Republic Day celebrations organised by the Vishal Bharat Sansthan.
After paying tributes to Netaji, Bose expressed his happiness over the establishment of the temple. “It is the first such temple in the world to connect the followers of Netaji across the world,” he said.
Bose had also visited Gorakhpur district jail recently and paid tributes to freedom fighter Pt Ram Prasad Bismil.

The Subhas Temple, constructed by the Vishal Bharat Sansthan, was inaugurated recently on the occasion of the 123rd birth anniversary of Bose on January 23. The 11-feet temple houses a life-size granite statue of Bose. The sole objective of the temple is to grow a sense of patriotism among the people and keep the memory of Netaji alive, said VBS founder Dr Rajiv Srivastava.
