Visakhapatnam: Two teachers from
Andhra Pradesh have been selected for the national best teacher’s award.
The Union govt announced the winners’ list on Tuesday. Midde Srinivasa Rao, a teacher at SPS Municipal High School in Gudivada, Krishna district, and Kunati Suresh, a teacher at Urandur ZP High School in Srikalahasti mandal, Tirupati district, will be honoured with the awards on September 5, Teacher’s Day.
Each award carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000, a silver medal, and a certificate. They will receive the awards from the President in New Delhi.
The national awards to teachers celebrate the unique contributions of the country’s finest educators. This is to recognise those who, through their dedication and hard work, have not only improved the quality of school education but have also enriched the lives of their students. TNN
