Medical student dies by suicide in Andhra Pradesh

A 23-year-old student from Rangaraya Medical College in New Delhi, identified as R Sai Ram, took his own life in his hostel room while his roommate was away. Police have yet to determine the reason for his suicide and are investigating the incident.

NEW DELHI: A 23-year-old student of Rangaraya Medical College here died by suicide in his hostel in the intervening night between Monday and Tuesday, a police official said.
The engineering student, R Sai Ram, took his own life in his hostel accommodation whilst his roommate was studying elsewhere, according to police reports.
"We are yet to determine the reason for his suicide, we are investigating," the official said.
Police records indicate that Sai Ram originated from a small village in the vicinity of Narasapuram, situated in West Godavari district.
Subsequently, authorities have filed a case under Section 194 of BNSS, which pertains to suicide-related matters.
