TIRUPATI: Rachamallu Sivaprasad Reddy, ruling YSRCP legislator from Proddatur, lodged a police complaint over the hacking of his mobile phone, claiming it to be a part of a larger controversy against the party legislators.
Sivaprasad Reddy formally met YSR Kadapa district superintendent of police Siddharth Kaushal and submitted details pertaining to his complaint.
He perceived the phone hacking incident as an attempt to politically destabilise him and expressed worry over the trend of snooping into one’s private space.
Speaking to the media later, the
MLA said the hacking attempt was going on for over a fortnight and suspected an Australian company’s hand behind the episode. Without naming anyone, he alleged that the deal was struck with Rs.50 lakh to defame him.
