Priyanka Chopra insists that she will feel nervous kissing or wearing a bikini on the screen now...
Priyanka Chopra has done it all ��� stripped, smooched, indulged in passionate love-making. And all of it in her debut film Andaaz, yet the actress maintains that she is not cashing in on her sex-symbol image.
"It's not just my face and body that attracts people to theatres, it's my performance as well.
It would be wrong to categorise me," says she. The former beauty queen goes on to add, "I did everything in my debut film.
But I would be nervous kissing or wearing a bikini today. I would consider the intimate scenes only if they are required."
She feels the films based only on sex are the "B and C grade projects that are soft-porn and are made because they have an audience. But, I am not part of those films. I am doing the work I enjoy.
A big banner film can never thrive on sex alone or by exploiting women. It's the script and content that make a film work."
She feels the sudden rise in her career, where every top-notch filmmaker wants to sign her, is because of her "hard-work. I work 18 hours a day.
And I am grateful to the film industry for having accepted me in just three years." So when does she find the time for love?
"The only love in my life is my work," says Priyanka, "There's no man." Isn't life boring without a man? "Work makes up for it," concludes she.
