BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) suspended 19 employees including teachers on Saturday for their irresponsible act in handling the ongoing exam question papers. Board reiterated that no paper leak has taken place in the
board exam and students should not trust the exam papers being circulated on social media.
The 19 suspended employees include 6 centre heads, 7 assistant centre heads and 5 teachers.
Meanwhile, police have arrested an accused from Mandideep of Raisen. The accused has added over 30,000 students appearing in the board exams on social media groups. Sources said that he took over 4 lakh rupees from 600 students.
Board's PRO Mukesh Kumar Malviya said that board paper has never leaked in the ongoing exams. "Whosoever has claimed that he has leaked the question paper is completely wrong. Only a few questions in the exam paper have been found the same in the original paper. Few people on social media platforms are making students fool and making money. Students should not trust them and focus on their exams only," said Malviya.
When Malviya was asked why 19 teachers have been suspended if the question paper was not leaked, he said, "It is done that they did not handle the question paper as per the instructions at the exam centre and breached the confidentiality of the exam."
Incidentally, few teachers have been accused, who are running the coaching classes, who were circulating the exam papers on their Whatsapp group around an hour before the exam.
The first paper of class 10, organised on March 1, was allegedly circulated on social media a day before. On March 11, the Class 10 Mathematics paper went viral 21 minutes before the exam on social media. On March 14, the Class 10 Sanskrit question paper had appeared on social media 50 minutes before the exam started.
Besides, Hindi, English and Biology papers of class 12 also went viral on social media. MPBSE said that they wrote a letter to the police commissioner on March 4 to file a case against those who spread misleading information on social media by sending different question papers.
