Chhattisgarh Board Class 12 Hindi paper leak: CGBSE set to conduct re-exam on April 10; check details
The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has announced that it will conduct a re-examination for the Class 12 Hindi paper after several reports of a question paper leak during the 2026 board exams.
According to an official notice, the Higher Secondary Certificate (Class 12) Hindi exam (code 010/810), which was held on March 14, 2026, has been cancelled. The board said the exam has been declared “null and void” after allegations surfaced that the paper had been leaked before the exam.
The issue came to light on March 15 and 16, when claims started circulating on social media about the paper being shared before the exam. Following these complaints, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered, and the matter was investigated.
CGBSE said that a final decision was taken during an examination committee meeting held on March 23, 2026. After reviewing all the evidence, the committee concluded that the fairness of the exam had been affected. As a result, it recommended cancelling the paper and conducting it again.
Following this, the board officially cancelled the March 14 Hindi exam and announced a fresh date.
The re-examination for the Class 12 Hindi paper will now be held on April 10, 2026 (Friday). The exam will take place from 9 am to 12:15 pm.
Students are required to reach their examination centres by 9 am. Answer sheets will be given at 9 am, and the question paper will be distributed at 9:05 am. Students will get five minutes to read the question paper from 9:05 am to 9:10 am. Writing will begin at 9:15 am and continue till 12:15 pm.
Important instructions for students
The board has clearly stated that the re-exam will be conducted as per the prescribed Class 12 syllabus and existing guidelines. Students should follow all instructions carefully on the exam day.
CGBSE also clarified that even if any local or administrative holiday is declared on the exam date, the schedule for the re-exam will remain unchanged.
Students are advised to stay updated with only official announcements and prepare accordingly for the re-examination.
