LUCKNOW: As campaigning concluded in UP ahead of the final phase of elections on Monday, BSP chief Mayawati spent the day at the Lucknow office conducting meetings and taking feedback from various districts on the party's performance.
Senior party members, like MP and party general secretary SC Mishra addressed multiple small rallies in eastern UP and formulated strategies for the polling day.

"Behenji was in Lucknow where she met some party workers and got reports on what is happening in various districts. While the focus was still the last phase constituencies where elections are due on March 7, she also spoke to district in-charges and other office-bearers about the ground situation in other districts," said a party member.
As campaigning ended in the evening, Mishra and his family addressed multiple meetings in Sonebhadra district. Mishra, who had been given charge of addressing Prabuddha Sammelans and campaigning in reserved constituencies, addressed 151 rallies since July 23, 2021.
Party spokesperson Seema Kushwaha spent the day campaigning in Varanasi while Nakul Dubey was in Azamgarh.
Meetings were also held to discuss the party's media strategy over the next few days, especially with the party anticipating an improved performance in this election. "We need to anticipate every possible scenario and see what BSP's best bet will be," said a senior member without committing to whether the party intends entering a post poll alliance, saying that such decisions rest with the party supremo Mayawati.
BSP has also put in place a system to monitor electronic voting machines before counting, claiming that they do not trust rivals as they could tamper with them.
"All candidates and sector in-charges have been told to keep vigil outside strong rooms where EVMs are kept and will be required to send footage from their areas to the party office at specified intervals," said a party member.
