MEERUT/BAREILLY: In a counter attack against BSP chief Mayawati’s remark cautioning Muslims against split of votes, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath said here on Tuesday that if they (opposition) had faith in ‘Ali’, BJP had faith in ‘Bajrang Bali’. He also accused SP, BSP and Congress of spreading green virus in the country.

“You must have heard Mayawati speaking at

Saharanpur

rally. In her speech she said if we (mahagathbandhan) got Muslim votes, others’ support will not be required. I also want to say, if Congress, SP and BSP have faith in ‘Ali’, we have faith in ‘Bajrang Bali’,” the UP CM said at a rally in Meerut on Tuesday.

“These parties have accepted that followers of Bajrang Bali will never tolerate them. That’s why they have been yelling ‘Ali Ali’ from stage and want to send a ‘green virus’ across country. But west UP should not be affected by this virus,” he added. “Rahul Gandhi fled

Amethi

to Kerala. When he was filing nomination there, he didn’t have Congress flags but green flags of Muslim League which is responsible for country’s division,” he said. Now SP, BSP and RLD, too, are spreading this green virus, he added.

Addressing back-to-back rallies in Bareilly, Meerut,

Hapur

and Ghaziabad, he said only BJP government can construct the temple in Ayodhya.
