Bachchan, SRK reach Kolkata for film fest

The state will see a host of celebrities attending the 19th Kolkata International Film Festival, that starts tomorrow.
The overpowering crowd at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport couldn't wait anymore to catch a glimpse of the megastar. But authorities couldn't risk Amitabh Bachchan being mauled by fans on his way to the city's film fest. So the Kolkata airport's officials decided to opt for the road less travelled.After touching down in the city, Amitabh Bachchan was escorted by security officials through the desolate terminal number 5 that is not in use anymore. Shutterbugs of the city, though, could not be tricked. When a few of them called out to him in order to get a good click, Bachchan, gracious as ever, decided to oblige. Before getting into his car, he walked up to them, waving all the way. He smiled looking at the cameras, his hands folded in a namoshkar. Wife Jaya Bachchan, who is accompanying him on the trip, was seen sitting inside the car too.
State minister Subrata Mukherjee was also seen at the airport receiving Big B on behalf of CM Mamata Banerjee
The city of joy is all set to turn glittery with the biggest stars making their presence felt at the 19th Kolkata International Film Festival. State ambassador Shahrukh Khan, who touched down just a couple of hours back, had tweeted in the morning, "I love you Kkkkolkata...feel always happy going to my city. Looking forward to the festival and just the air of joy that hits u as u land (Sic)."
We also spotted Kamal Haasan in the city.
