While thousands of
Hrithik Roshan fans across Bengal is eagerly waiting for his much-anticipated action entertainer ‘Vikram Vedha’ the Bollywood icon’s connection with Bengal has always gave him a loyal fan base here. In 2019, when ‘War’ was released during Puja it’s box office numbers in Bengal had surpassed the total earnings of all the Bengali films released during the 2019 Puja.
So, you can imagine the craze surrounding his upcoming film.
Only a few people know that Hrithik has a sweet Bengali connection. The dashing actor’s grandmother Ira, (father Rakesh Roshan’s mother) was a Bengali who got married to legendary musician Roshan, who was a Punjabi.
Not only this but during a visit to Kolkata for the promotion of his film a few years back Hrithik had shared that he’s a huge fan of Rosogolla. Interestingly, his first public appearance was in Kolkata in 2000 as his dida’s (grandmother) wish was that Hrithik’s first stage performance has to be in Kolkata. After all, there is Bengali blood in him.
Not only Hrithik’s onscreen charisma but his down-to-earth nature without any starry tantrum has always amazed his crazy Bengali fans. And of course, there is the special Bengali connection! So, when ‘Boycott Vikram Vedha’ started trending it didn’t affect his fans in Bengal.
Fans are eagerly waiting to see
Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan in one of the most-anticipated films in recent times, ‘
Vikram Vedha’. The action flick is the official Hindi remake of the 2017 Tamil hit of the same name. The Tamil version saw R Madhavan as Vikram and
Vijay Sethupathi as Vedha and both of them excelled in their roles. In the Hindi version of the film, Saif will play Vikram while Hrithik will be seen as Vedha.
