Filmfare is back to celebrate the best of the bests in Bengali Cinema with full gusto this year. The latest edition of the Joy Filmfare Awards Bangla will be honouring the most exceptional cinematic experiences we have witnessed between 2021 and 2022. With some terrific films such as Aparajito, Projapati, Karna Subarner Guptodhon bagging the much-deserved nominations on the list, it will surely be a tough fight between the contenders to take the Black Lady home. Filmmaker competing for the best director award are, Anik Datta (Aparajito), Anirban Bhattacharya (Ballabhpurer Roopkatha), Avijit Sen (Projapati), Dhrubo Banerjee (Karna Subarner Guptodhon), Parambrata Chatterjee (Abhijaan), Parambrata Chatterjee (Boudi Canteen), and Prasun Chatterjee (Dostojee). And the stars running for the best actor (lead) are Abir Chatterjee (Karna Subarner Guptodhon), Dev (Kacher Manush), Indraneil Sengupta (Hatyapuri), Jisshu Sengupta (Abhijaan), Mithun Chakraborty (Projapati), Prosenjit Chatterjee (Aay Khuku Aay), and Soumitra Chatterjee (Abhijaan).Ditipriya Roy (Aay Khuku Aay), Gargi Roy Chowdhury (Mahananda), Ishaa Saha (Sahobashe), Rukmini Maitra (Kishmish), Shubhashree Ganguly (Boudi Canteen), and Swastika Mukherjee (Shrimati), are racing for the best actress (lead) award.
