Abir, Swastika part of adult film penned by Kahaani director

Arindam Sil���s Reunion deals with an adult story and will have two cuts
His Aborto was a whirligig tour of relationships. And now, Arindam Sil is ready to take a step forward with his next, Renunion. An adult film, there will be a few dare-bare sequences enacted by Swastika Mukherjee. This has prompted the director to decide on two cuts ��� one for festivals and the other for theatrical release.
Apart from Chandan Roy Sanyal, Abir Chatterjee, Roopa Ganguly, Arpita, Ritwick Chakraborty and Saswata Chatterjee, the film also stars Samrat Chakrabarti, Nitya Ganguly and Koneenica Banerjee. Written by Kahaanimaker Sujoy Ghosh, who is also the film���s creative producer, the movie goes on the floors in October. With two directors on the same project, won���t there be ego hassles, we ask Arindam. ���Sujoy is going all out to help me with this film. But if there are direction related issues, he looks at me with a deadpan expression and says, ���I���m not the director���,��� said Arindam.
Arindam added, ���The film is set in Dooars and parts of Sikkim, so we opted for October as the weather condition is better for shoot during that time. Reunion is about nine school friends, who meet after 10 years at a resort owned by Bunty (Chandan) in Dooars. A series of incidents happen during the two-night stay, which unravels a lot of things. It is an adult story which questions social norms.���
The film will see Samrat Chakrabarti and Swastika Mukherjee pair up as a couple. ���Debu (Samrat) is an owner of a five-star hotel, who is going through a rough patch in his professional life. There���s yet another concern in Neela (Swastika) and Debu���s marital life, which will be revealed at the end and I bet the audience will be surprised. The secret in Jisshu (Abir) and Megha���s (Arpita) lives also come to the fore as the story moves forward. The friends, who would share their little secrets in school, are busy hiding things from one another. Ritwick plays Apu, a divorced doctor with a child. Roopa Ganguly plays a liberated women, who runs an NGO. Nitya Ganguly is Botu Kaka, who looks after the resort,��� informed the director.
Another highlight of the film is that the audience will get to see Koneenica and Saswata playing a couple on screen after Abar Asbo Phire (2004). ���After 10 years, they will be seen together on screen. Koneenica plays Puja, who wanted to get married to a rich man. Her wish got fulfilled when she married Karan (Saswata). A happy couple on the surface, they too have a secret. Dealing with so many complex relations in one film is not easy,��� said Arindam. Soumik Haldar has been roped in as the DoP, while Anupam Roy and Raja Narayan Deb are composing for the film.
