Actor Rahul Banerjee gearing up for his directorial debut

Actor Rahul Banerjee has learned a lot during the pandemic as he had to shoot television episodes with his phone, among other things. “During that time I learned a lot and also started working on my script and completed it. So 2021 has arrived with new hope for me. I'll invest all I know into my film,” he said.
Though in January 2020, Rahul had decided to opt for filmmaking, that didn’t happen for a number of reasons. The pandemic was one of the biggest reasons. “But this year is probably the most anticipated one in the decade and it is all about hope and a new beginning. I am sure I will also be able to do something new,” he said.
According to industry sources, Ritwick Chakraborty will play one of the leads in the film while Rahul himself will be seen in a pivotal role.
Meanwhile, Rahul will soon be seen in a psychological thriller ‘Chokh’. Directed by debutant Bappa, the cast also includes Anindya Banerjee. The story follows a professor Robert (Rahul Banerjee) who suffers from a personality disorder while struggling to get hold of his crisis. Meanwhile, a series of deaths rock the city and Robert gets involved in it. What happens next forms the crux of the story
