Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee are a winning combination alright! The duo is back with her next, Haami, and the album is already winning hearts. How often do we come across music albums especially curated for kids and by kids? Songs in Haami have been sung by kids and the lyrics, melodies are reminiscent of younger years. Music director Anindya Chattopadhyay, who had earlier composed music for many of their films have again been roped in to compose music for this film.

The trending song Bhutu Bhaijaan, sung by Shreyan Bhattacharya, has already become the kiddie part anthem and Khola tiffin box, sung by little singing sensations Swamantak Mukherjee and Aruna Das, has tagged at everyone's heartstrings. The songs in the album aim to capture the essence of childhood, friendship, and innocence.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Shiboprosad, Nandita and Anindya have come together to churn out chart busters. The combination has won the audience's hearts since 2013, the release year of Alik Sukh. Anindya has earlier put to music songs from Belaseshe, Praktan and Posto that went on to become hits with the masses and even fetched coveted awards.
Director Shiboprosad Mukherjee said, “Music in a film can happen in two ways. One, where musicdirectors put songs to music from a stock of tunes they already have and another is when you share the song sequence with the composer, he comes up with a tailor-made song. The latter is how Anindya work. With him, sometimes the song comes first and the visuals, later. Songs are an indispensable part of all our films. Songs tell stories too — they take the narrative forward. Jonaki, O Thakur are shared even now. It was a conscious decision on our parts to make it a children’s album.”
Music director Anindya Chattopadhyay said, “I always wanted to make a children’s album and the opportunity came about with Haami. After recording one song with a child, we thought of getting only child singers on board for the album. Children’s voices have a certain innocence in them and as a singer I can say, I can’t sing the way they do. Singers John, Shayori, Aruna, Shreyan, Ranita and Swamantak have done a marvellous job in the film while Prabudhha Banerjee, who has arranged for the music, too, has done a great job.
