I wanted to make a film on ‘Manojder Adbhut Bari’ for a long time. Children films are quite rare these days in Bengali cinema. Popular cartoons attract the children mostly. The popularity of our Bengali literature, especially for children, doesn’t enjoy a great reach. That’s why I planned to make such a children’s adventure.”
Bankrolled by Shiboprosad-Nandita’s Windows Production, the film will see Soham Moitra, who appeared in ‘Chaplin’, essaying the role of Manoj and singer Srikanto Acharya’s son Purab Seal Acharya playing Saroj. Besides, there will also be Soumitra Chatterjee and Sandhya Roy as the royal couple. Silajit Majumder will play the role of a dacoit leader. He will be also helping director Anindya in composing the music.
