Anjan Dutt to play a lawyer, Raima Sen, a murderer?

The film by debutant director Tathagata Banerjee will also feature Roopa Ganguly
Director Tathagata Banerjee is all set to don a bigger hat. The young director, who has several telefilms to his credit, is ready to direct his first feature with a cast full of big names like Anjan Dutt, Roopa Ganguly, Kaushik Ganguly and Raima Sen, among others. The thriller, which is yet to get a name, is slated to go on the floors in August.���The film is a thriller. So, obviously, I can't reveal the storyline. All I can say is that it revolves around a girl (Raima is slated to essay this character) who is charged with murder. A renowned lawyer (Anjan Dutt) returns from a long sabbatical and joins hands with an investigating officer to fight the case. This gripping thriller will have many twists and turns, which will finally reveal the actual murderer. I am so happy that Anjanda found the script interesting and agreed to work in my film. I am yet to zero in on an actor to play the investigating officer's role," Tathagata told us.
Neel Dutt, who has earlier composed music for films such as Bong Connection, Madly Bangali, Cholo Let's Go and Bow Barracks Forever, will score the music for the murder mystery. The film's story and dialogues have been penned by SanjibBannerjee. SupriyoDutta is the DoP.
When contacted, Raima said, ���I am trying to adjust my dates so that I can be part of this project." In the meantime, the actress is also gearing up for the biopic on her grandmother and legendary actress Suchitra Sen.
