Aryann Bhowmik is in a happy space and why not! His latest release ‘Bijoya Dashami’ has received critical acclaim and enjoying a few housefull shows as well in the city. He’s also happy to play such an interesting character in the seat-edge suspense thriller which has collected 1.37 lakhs at the box office in its first weekend outing.
“Bijoya Dashami, 36 Hours, Mukhosh – all these have offered me layered characters with much to explore, especially my acting skills.
I don’t want to stay as Kakababu’s Santu. I have to move on. I also feel lucky that the new generation of filmmakers are creating characters keeping me in mind. New filmmakers always throw different challenges. The excitement and thrill is on a different level when you are working with someone who is new to the industry. At the same time when you are working with experienced artists there’s ample scope of learning new things,” shared an excited Aryann.
He’s also worked with Karisma Kapoor recently for a web project and the young actor says it was amazing to work with the Bollywood diva. “Apart from Karisma Kapoor this project also has
Jisshu Sengupta, Surya Sharma,
Abhinay Deo. What can I say about Karisma Kapoor? Even if she’s a big Bollywood star there’s no starry appearance. She’s so humble and down to earth. The only regret is I couldn’t take a picture with her because the schedule was so tight that I forgot to take a snap with her,” adds the actor.
Aryann is also playing a key role in the much anticipated sports drama ‘Maidaan’. Based on the golden era of Indian football, it stars
Ajay Devgn as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. So how did he land the film? Well, Aryann promptly answers a good audition did the trick, “I have never received any special advantage anywhere and I won’t need it in future. The works I have done in all these years are the result of my heard work. I have given so many auditions before landing a role. I don’t see myself as a talented actor, instead I am more of a hardworking actor. I want to give tests. I have no problem with that. I want to prove my worth before landing a role.”
