His film, Bilu Rakkhosh, about a man fighting his inner demons, was lauded by the critics and now Indrasis Acharya has more good news in store. The film has been invited by the Department of Film Studies, University of St Andrews, Fife, Scotland, UK, as part of The Liberating Cinema film series. The latter aims to bring together international film scholars and filmmakers for a dialogue.

The director announced the good news on Facebook as he wrote: It's a pleasure for the entire Bilu Rakkhosh team to share that Bilu Rakkhosh will be screened as part of the Liberating Cinema Film Series at St Andrews University, Scotland. I have been invited to attend the Q&A session and discuss on Current Independent film making Scenario in India. Indeed proud moment for Bilu Rakkhosh and Bengali Independent Cinema.” The screening will be held on March 1.
