Actor Biplab Dasgupta, who tested positive for Covid-19 on April 26, is recuperating at a city hospital. “I was shooting for the serial, Hoytoh Tomari Jonno, when I developed a throat infection on April 23 and was coughing incessantly. My family doctor asked me to do a lung scan and the report showed that I had severe lung infection and my oxygen saturation was not up to the mark.
He immediately asked me to get admitted so that things don’t turn worse. I got admitted and on April 26, I tested positive. I’m still under oxygen support but am slowly recovering. My wife also tested positive but she is self-isolating at home,” said the actor, adding, “It will take some time for me to fully recover after I return home from the hospital. I’ll rejoin work depending on the situation. It's good that we completed dubbing for Saibal Mitra’s film A Holy Conspiracy before the partial lockdown,” said the actor.
Urging everyone to do breathing exercises to stay fit in the current situation, Dasgupta said, “I am doing breathing exercises every day as prescribed by the doctor. And I urge everyone to wear a mask as this second wave of the pandemic is deadly. There is no need to go out unless it is absolutely necessary.”
