Anup Sengupta’s direction sees Bonny in a more serious role. Titled ‘Jaanbaaz’, the action flick is set to release on October 25.
Sharing his experience of working under the direction of his dad, Bonny says” "As a director, my father is very sorted out. He is well aware of exactly what he wants. Not many people know baba calls everyone in the set apni aagge. And when the shot is ready he would often say Bonybabu shot ready. It feels really awkward when baba calls me like that. But he takes care of everything related to me on the set."
‘Jaanbaaz’ revolves around a worker and goon of coal area who falls for a mysterious woman.
Koushani Mukherjee plays the love interest of Bonny here. While Tota Roy Choudhury essays a top cop, Sudip Mukherjee will be seen asa coal mafia.
Speaking about his character in the film, Bonny added: “I am playing Bikram who’s the right hand of a gangster. Sudip da (Sudip Mukherjee) plays the gangster. Bikram is a very rough character but in heart he is a good man. The coal mafias and all make him tough but at the end of the day he is in love with a young lady. Koushani is playing the lady here.”
