Director Indranil Roy Chowdhury is ready to start shooting for his next venture, Jongolgore Kakababu, an adaptation of Sunil Gangopadhyay's Jongolgarer Chabi. And, for the first time in Tollywood, extensive portions of the film will be shot in the dense forests of Tripura. This is an adventure film where the jungle plays an important part.We will be shooting in Chobimura, Amarpur and in and around Agartala.
In fact, we are still on the lookout for other such unexplored, virgin locations," said the director, who is just back after the first leg of recce from Tripura. His debut film,
Phoring, showed the lush greenery of north Bengal.
Is he bothered about comparisons with Srijit Mukherji's version of
Kakababu that will follow? Srijit will direct
Kakababu in his own way and my Kakababu will solve crimes in his own style. I know there will be comparisons, but why should I get effected by that?" said Indranil.
