On Sunday morning, the cast and crew of Sauvik Kundu’s film Aay Khuku Aay were present at a single-screen theatre in Hatibagan to unveil the trailer of the film.
Prosenjit Chatterjee and
Ditipriya Roy, who play pivotal characters in the film were dressed as their on-screen characters for the event. “I was dressed as Buri and Bumba da (Prosenjit) as Nirmal Mondol — my father. We entered the hall by walking the full stretch of Hatibagan.
It was like Buri has come to Kolkata with her father and entered a theatre to watch a film. Not many know that I now address Bumba da as Baba and he calls me Buri,” said the actress.
Prosenjit on his part, said, “This film revolves around a father and a daughter and their journey. I am so happy that the trailer launched at the theatre that is testimony to my journey as an actor.”
Sharing the storyline of the film, Prosenjit said, “The film is based on the story of Nirmal Mondol, also known in the film as Teko Prosen, and his daughter Buri. In the story, Buri aspires to be a dancer but due to unforeseen circumstances, she fails and falls into a bad trap. When his father finds out, he beats her up and throws her out of the house and the story takes a turn.”
Ditipriya will be flying off to Chennai next week to shoot for an ad film. “My next film will be shot outdoors and I am looking forward to it,” said Ditipriya.
