I am working 24x7 so my mom’s memories don’t haunt me: Koushani
It's been one and a half months since Koushani Mukherjee lost her mother Sangita Mukherjee. But the actress cannot come to terms with the reality. “Ma passed away on October 29 at 1.30 am and I still have emotional breakdowns. My mother was my best friend, my confidante and I had left a vacuum in my heart and life. The other day, I was shooting for a brand, and realised I have no one to send the photos to — no one to tell me whether I am looking nice or not.

I am literally working 24x7 so my mom’s memories don’t haunt me. But every time I end up thinking about her. A few days back Bonny (Sengupta) and I went to a restaurant for dinner, and I couldn’t stay there for more than five minutes as we celebrated my mom’s birthday at that restaurant last February,” said the actress, who is currently dubbing for Priya Re where she plays the central character. Santo Khan is paired opposite Koushani in the film.
Koushani also completed dubbing for Sayantan Ghoshal’s Hirokgorer Hire where Bonny Sengupta, Soham, Biswanath Basu, Kanchan Mullick play pivotal character.
Every Christmas, Koushani goes for a family picnic. “I generally plan this picnic with my mother. But this year with ma not being around anymore, I have asked my other cousins to plan it. But visiting a church and Park Street are on my to-do list on Christmas. My father is my Santa Clause from my childhood and to this day, I get gifts from him on Christmas Eve,” shared the actress.
