Sharman Joshi, who landed in Kolkata on Thursday for the muhurat of his debut Bengali film,
Bhalobashar Morshoom, revealed that he’s excited about the project. “I’m really looking forward to this film, not only because it marks my debut in Bengali cinema, but also because it’ll be a wonderful learning experience for me as an actor,” he said.
The MN Raj directorial, in which Sharman is paired opposite
Susmita Chatterjee, is an emotional, relationship-based story that highlights how the clash of the past and the present affects personal lives. It is slated to go on the floors from September and will be shot in
Darjeeling and Murshidabad. Tanjin Tisha and Khairul Basar from Bangladesh are also part of the cast.
Speaking about the film, the director said, “It questions whether some relationships can survive the shadows of the past.”
