I'm so lucky to have got Bhupinderji: Jeet

Bhupinder Singh has recorded a Bengali number for Riingo���������s ���������System��������� that has been composed by Jeet Gannguli. The recording was done in Mumbai on Tuesday.
The song has been penned by Chandrani Gannguli and will be used to portray the humane side of the criminal subculture. Says Jeet, ���������It���������s been a dream for me to compose a song for which Bhupinderji has lent his voice.What was even more enlightening was to listen to his recollections of recording with Pancham.���������
Bhupinder, incidentally, is an accomplished guitar player. ���������He had wanted to play the guitar for this piece. I couldn���������t believe my luck when he said something like this. It is the greatest gift for me. The last time he had sung for a Bengali movie was for ���������Gurudakshina���������. It was a song called ���������Aaji e probhate���������. I am so lucky to have got Bhupinderji to sing my composition in Riingo���������s movie. The film stars Indraneil and Indrajit in the lead, among others,��������� Jeet adds. Riingo, who is now in Thailand to shoot the songs, will be back to Kolkata on Thursday.
Ask Bhupinder what prompted him to sing this number when he has stayed away from playback for so long and he says, ���������Where are the good composers or the good songs? I thank Jeet for composing such a number and asking me to lend my voice to it.���������
Chandrani, who has penned the lyrics, is ecstatic. ���������I am a huge fan of his. I feel blessed that he has sung this song, the lyrics of which go like: ���������Rokte bheja ei surjo ekhane/sarther heen sanghat/tobuo swapno tobu ashate buk badha eka proti raat/ei system ei system���������. Before the recording, he sang ���������Ek akela is sheher mein���������. I literally had goosebumps when I heard him sing.���������
Meanwhile, recent reports had claimed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is keen on signing on Jeet for his next production. However, Jeet says, ���������Sajid-Wajid has been signed on for ���������Rowdy Rathore���������. Sajid and Wajid are great friends of mine. I am happy that they are scoring the music for this film. I had met Sanjayji and am happy to have been able to share my music with him.���������
