‘Karnasubarner Guptodhon’ trailer: Sonada, Tollywood’s very own Indiana Jones is back to unravel the forgotten chapters of Bengal’s history

After a gap of three years Sonada returns to the big screen and how! Dhrubo Banerjee’s third installment in the Guptodhon franchise ‘Karnasubarner Guptodhon’ promises yet another thrilling adventure that will unravel the long-lost chapters of Bengal’s history. This time Sonada travels to Karnasubarna and as usual he has Abir and Jhinuk with him in search of the hidden treasures.
‘Karnasubarner Guptodhon’ which is releasing on September 30 is already making quite a lot of buzz and the recently released trailer has also made fans all too excited.

In the previous two films Guptodhoner Sondhane and Durgeshgorer Guptodhan, Sonada (Abir Chatterjee), Abir (Arjun Chakrabarty) and Jhinuk (Ishaa Saha) took the box office by storm and the third film will see veteran actor Barun Chanda along with Sourav Das and Kinjal Nanda in pivotal roles.
The trailer promises an action-packed thriller as our favourite history professor Subarna Sen, aka Sonada, visits Karnasubarna, the forgotten capital of Bengal’s one of the finest monarchs, Raja Shashanka. This time Sonada will be up against the menacing Bhujanga Hajra (Sourav Das) as he searches for Shashanka’s treasure.
In the trailer, Abir returns to his charming image of Sonada, slipping into the the character effortlessly. His skillful portrayal of Sonada, distinct from Feluda and Byomkesh has always intrigued us. While Arjun wins our hearts as the humorous Abir, Ishaa as Jhinuk is equally charming. However, it is Sourav Das who surprises all with his ferocity as the main antagonist of the film.

Just like the previous two films, ‘Karnasubarner Guptodhon’s screenplay has been co-written by Dhrubo Banerjee and Sougata Basu. While the music has been composed by Bickram Ghosh with his signature mark, the trailer gives a peek into what to expect from the film, especially the serene beauty of Jangalmahal, skillfully brought alive on screen by cinematographer Soumik Haldar.
