It’s the first ever instance in Bengali cinema where father and son are enjoying their movie releases at the same time and that too both are playing central characters.
Kaushik Ganguly and his son Ujaan Ganguly have made history with ‘Bijoya’ and ‘Rosogolla’. Both the movies released in a gap of only two weeks are running successfully at the theaters with the audience showering praise on both senior and junior Ganguly. It’s indeed a really proud moment for the Ganguly family. So, after watching ‘Rosogolla’ what’s director Kaushik Ganguly’s take on son Ujaan’s debut performance?
The senior Ganguly says he is proud but also points out Ujaan has to learn a lot. “I like his acting but it’s only his debut, he has to learn a lot about the nitty-gritty of acting and for that he has to work with tougher task masters now. His dedication and focus for his acting has impressed me. In some serious sequences in Rosogolla which need mature acting he has tried to be perfect. But there are certain sequences where I think he needs improvement. I have already spoken him about those things. By constantly reviewing his own performance, I believe my son understands what improvements are needed in his acting. Experience will improve him. The hard work and dedication he has shown for Rosogolla gives me immense pleasure. I am proud to call him my son,” said the national award winning director.
