The actress started her career with the serial Sobinoy Nibedon. The serial revolved around the clash of cultures when a Marwari girl and a Bengali boy fall in love. Madhumita played the Marwari girl in this serial and got noticed for her acting.Then the actress played the lead in the serial Care Kori Na. Her character, Juni, a rich medical student, also got her a lot of appreciation. But the serial that fetched Madhumita name and fame was Bojhena Se Bojhena, where she was paired opposite Yash.
The on-screen chemistry between Aranya, a wealthy business tycoon, and Pakhi, a girl-next-door, was much talked about. The audience still wants to see Yash-Madhumita jodi back on screen. , the serial Madhumita did after Bojhena Se Bojhena was also liked by the audience.
Talking about her journey in these 10 years, the actress said, “These 10 years in this industry were like living a dream. At the same time, the journey has been a roller coaster ride, where I saw both success and downfall. I hope to continue entertaining my audience through good work. How is she celebrating the day today? “I am with my family at Champahati. My mother is making pulao and mutton for lunch. I feel blessed that so many people are congratulating me. So, I am trying to answer each one of them,” said Madhumita.
The actress has been part of three films till date - Love Aaj Kal Porshu, Chini and Tangra Blues.
