On Tuesday,
Manali Manisha Dey
had a terrible experience with an app cab while she was travelling to
Joka
, to the shoot location of the serial Dhulokona. “These
app cabs
nowadays are taking customers for a jolly ride. Despite paying so much, we customers don’t enjoy any facilities. There are innumerable incidents when I have booked a cab and the driver called me to ask about my destination. On learning about my destination, within a minute, he cancelled it. Nowadays, I don’t disclose my destination if they ask me,” said the actress.
Talking about the incident on Tuesday,
Manali
said, “I was going to Joka to shoot for Dhulokona in an app cab. Suddenly, near
Behala Chowrasta
, I saw a few men denying app cabs to move forward and forcing the passengers to get down. They were even throwing stones at the cabs. When I asked them why they are behaving like this, they just said app cabs are on strike. But when I told them there was no prior intimation of this, they just said, ‘ekhon bolchi, neme jaan gari theke.’ I could manage to do a live from the place and posted it on my social media handle so everyone gets to know what common people are going through. This should be stopped,” said Manali.
