Excitement was clearly on the faces of actress-turned-politicians Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan on Monday, when they visited Parliament for the first time after the two pretty ladies were elected in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections from Trinamool Congress.

However, the controversy over their candidature refuses to die down and after their pictures went viral it’s like all hell broke loose the pictures didn’t go well with the netizens. Both of them were dressed in western trendy clothes, and it came as a bitter pill to swallow.
Netizens were quick to troll Mimi and Nusrat saying it’s not a film shoot and Mimi and Nusrat have to get serious about their work.
While Nusrat Jahan won by 3,50,369 votes from Basirhat, Mimi Chakraborty’s margin of victory from Jadavpur seat was 2,95,239 votes.
