The director has cast his discovery in a pivotal role for his next film, which stars Dev and Mimi.
He launched her in Tollywood and she considers him to be her mentor, and if the buzz is to be believed, hit duo Raj Chakrabarty and NusratJahan have teamed up again for the director's upcoming project, Yoddha. Nusrat has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film, which stars Dev and Mimi Chakraborty in the lead.Confirming the news, the director said, ��Yes, Nusrat is doing a guest appearance in Yoddha. Her character comes in at a very important stage of the storyline, which I will not disclose now. She is also part of a celebration song along with Dev that will be shot in Mumbai in a very stylized way that no one can think of in Bengali films. Adil will do the choreography and both Dev and Nusrat will be seen grooving as never before."
About his decision to cast Nusrat, Raj said, ��Well, Nusrat is my discovery and so, she will always be special. When I was planning Yoddha, she texted me saying she wanted to be part of it. Though I couldn't cast her in the lead, her role is important, as it helps the film go forward."
Nusrat, who was blown over by the first trailer of the film, said, ��If Rajda asks me to do a one-minute role in his film, I am game. I know he will do justice to it. He discovered me and I had always wanted to work with him after Shotru. But somehow, it didn't happen. And this time, when he offered me the part in Yoddha, I was more than happy to give my nod. Just that matching steps with Dev is tough, as he is a terrific dancer.��
