After BasantaUtsav, RhitobrataBhattacharya is gearing up for his next.
If all goes well, Palash Sen, the lead vocalist of popular band Euphoria, will be seen playing an important role opposite RituparnaSengupta in SandhyaNamarAage, a thriller, based on his book by the same name.
Talking about his Tolly debut, Palash said, ��I��m excited. I really liked the story, but I��m yet to sign on the dotted lines. I��ve heard the director is planning to cast Rituparna opposite me. I know her personally and am sure it��ll be great working with her. The role is quite complicated. My only concern is whether I��ll be able to deliver it properly on screen.

The film, originally set in North Bengal, will now be shot in Hazaribagh, Netarhat and McCluskieganj in Jharkhand, starting September.
Rhitobrata, who was recently in Jharkhand, is already done with location-hunting and has zeroed in on a British bungalow as the primary setting of the film. Elaborating on his plans, the director said, ��Due to increased disturbances in the Hills, a lot of movies are running the danger of being thrown off-schedule. Hence, people are looking out for other locations. Jharkhand has been lying untouched for 13 years now. I decided to rediscover the lost magic of the state��s beauty and depict it on screen.�� He added, ��We are thinking of shooting the film in both Hindi and Bengali, or at least add Hindi subtitles to capture the audience in Jharkhand too.��
The movie is based on the life of a model, who comes for a summer holiday in Jharkhand and dies under mysterious circumstances. Her novelist husband gets convicted for her murder and is hanged. After 16 years, the only daughter of the couple receives a letter from her convicted father wherein he states that he was wrongfully executed for a crime he didn��t commit. The daughter then sets out to seek the truth, which turns out to be far murkier than what she had imagined.
Buzz is that PayelSarkar and SubratDutt are also part of the film. ��I have been approached but I am yet to hear the script,�� said Payel.
Subrat, who has been approached to essay a detective��s role , said, ��The script is quite gripping and so is my character. But I am yet to ink the deal.��
When quizzed, Rituparna confirmed the news, saying. ��Yes, I am doing the film.��
