Photo: Soham drops in to wish team ‘Prem Amar 2’

Ten years ago Raj Chakraborty directed Soham Chakraborty and Paayel Sarkar in ‘Prem Amar’ and now Raj is producing ‘Prem Amar 2’ which the director turned producer insists is not a sequel to the earlier film. Directed by Bidula Bhattacharya, this upcoming romantic drama stars a fresh pair Adrit Roy and Puja Cherry Roy in the lead who made their debut last year in Raj’s first production ‘Noor Jahan’ directed by Abhimanyu Mukherjee.
Recently Bidula took to her Twitter handle to share a all-happy picture when Soaham gave a surprise visit to Adrit and Raj. The debutant director captioned the photo: “When #PremAmar meets #PremAmar2 Thanks @myslf_soham for all the encouragement and support. #PremAmar2 releases on #8thFeb @iamrajchoco @adritbelieves @iamsaaurav.” You can even spot actor Sourav Das in the picture as well.
Before the film was announced last year speculation was rife Raj will cast Mimi, Soham, Abir and Payel in this movie, but as we all know the director turned producer loves to introduce new faces to the industry, the ‘Noor Jahan’ jori became his favourite protagonists.
