Abhishek Saha’s directorial debut ‘Uronchondi’.
Amartya Ray, who has been cast as a lorry driver in this film, recently uploaded the photo of a lorry on his Twitter handle. The lorry reportedly plays an important role in the plot.
‘Uronchondi’ revolves around the journey of three women in search of freedom.
Veteran actresses Chitra Sen, Rajnandini Pal and
Sudipta Chakraborty, wife of the director, have been roped in to play the leading ladies of the film.
To escape from their boring lifestyle, the protagonists embark on a road trip. As per reports, the sequences of the road trip will be shot at Purulia-Kolkata route. The script has been penned by Sudip Das and the music has been composed by Debajyoti Mishra.
Director Abhishek Saha recently revealed why he chose such a different subject. He apparently used to travel a lot and has spent more than 20 years travelling all around India. Those experiences reportedly gave him the inspiration to make this film.
