The year 2021, despite all the negativity, saw popular stars jumping on the trend of creating Instagram Reels on viral songs to entertain their fans. Our very own Tollywood celebs, too, enjoyed the many perks of Instagram Reels. Be it choreographed dance routines or sharing creative short videos to better express their emotions and connect with fans, here are some of the most talked-about celebrity Reel-ers we saw in Tollywood this year:
Swastika Mukherjee

This Reel on ‘Valaiyosai Kalakala’ by Lata Mangeshkar sees Swastika coming up with her “gang of handloom hoarders”.It is a collage of memories and moments with daughter Anwesha, sister Ajopa and late mother Gopa Mukherjee, among others. The Reel became her most popular one in 2021.
Mimi Chakraborty

This one is a classy, fun-filled Mimi Chakraborty reel on the catchy Jeffrey Bezos song and we can’t stop loving it. The video shows a collage of her pictures from childhood, early modeling days and some snippets from her political rallies. The actor who is a singer also added a clip of her singing Paree Hoon Main in this compilation.
Subhashree Ganguly

Subhashree Ganguly’s off-duty moments are always entertaining and favourite among fans. Her Reels usually show snippets from photoshoots or enjoying family time with son Yuvan. The mommy dearest also took part in the Manike Mage Hithe trend, in a yellow salwar and the Reel became a viral one.
Rituparna Sengupta

Rituparna Sengupta’s Reels come with candid behind-the-scenes moments, slow-motion twirls, and glimpses from outdoor shoots. She matched her steps to the viral Skurtgangg video along with her team in Himachal Pradesh during a film shoot and it’s entertaining, to say the least.
Madhumita Sarcar

Her Reels are always breathy, spontaneous, with glimpses into her daily routine. We can’t complain about the stylish wardrobe trials or driving Reels as well. The bubbly actress set this Reel to Kidolitx’s Listen To Me Now. Her full-blown bridal attire can even serve up some drama with a pair of shades.
