Rituparna to play a rebel in Goponocharini

After Extraordi-Naari, the actress is set to play a TV anchor in Sunanda Shyamal Mitra���s next
After Extraordi-Naari, director Sunanda Shyamal Mitra is set to repeat Rituparna Sengupta in his next. Titled Goponocharini, this multilingual is a contemporary take on Tagore���s muses.
Sunanda says, ���She plays Tanya, a grooming guru, in Extraordi-Naari and has done a great job.In the movie, she���ll be seen training contestants from different social strata for a show. So, when Goponocharini was conceived, I couldn���t think of anyone else.���
The film revolves around a TV anchor (Rituparna) and a documentary maker. The latter marries his sister-in-law after his brother���s death ��� a parallel that the director has drawn to Tagore and his love for Kadambari Devi. ���Both the characters have a past and here, they are thrown in together. Leaving aside the age barrier ��� the woman in 30 and the man, 60 ��� the duo comes close. I want to approach Naseeruddin Shah for the role of the docu maker,��� says Sunanda.
Ritu, who enjoyed her stint as the fashionista in Extraordi-Naari, says going through the script of Goponocharini. ���I am supposed to play a rebel in it. The film is about layered human emotions and my role is that of a strong woman, who doesn���t believe in the tried-and-tested route to life. I also loved working with Sunanda in Extraordi-Naari, which is about a woman���s journey. Working with Satyajit Sharma, a well-known theatre personality, was also a great learning experience,��� says the actress, who���s currently dubbing for Akarshan and Pati Parameshwar.
Goponocharini will hit the floors in December. Sunanda will also cast quite a few actors from Tollywood. Rajatava Dutta and Sreela Majumdar are on the director���s wish list.
